General Rules and Regulations During your visit to the Museum, we ask that you please observe the following rules to ensure the safety of the objects and for your own viewing comfort:

In the Museum buildings, please refrain from speaking in a loud voice, having children running around, eating and drinking, smoking, or improperly disposing of wastepaper or other articles. |

In the Museum buildings, please refrain from using your cell phone. |
| 3. |
To ensure the safety of the objects and enhance your viewing pleasure, all forms of photography and filming in the exhibition areas are prohibited as of 1 June 2005. Thank you for your cooperation. |
| 4. |
The Museum reserves the right to refuse admission, at its discretion, to those wearing improper attire, bringing pets, or taking toys into the Museum. |
| 5. |
The exhibition hall is set to a low temperature. Please wear a jacket or additional clothes to keep warm. |
| 6. |
Do not take any dangerous items, backpacks, travel bags or luggage into the exhibition halls. Staff of the Museum may request to inspect your belongings if necessary. |
| 7. |
Your camera and video equipment must be placed within your carry-in bag or deposited in a locker before you enter the exhibition halls. |
| 8. |
Drinking water and other liquids into the Museum Main Building galleries are strictly prohibited. |
Checkroom Regulations
| 1. |
Photography equipment, coats and luggage may be deposited at the checkroom. (Please keep valuables with you.) |
| 2. |
Please take a number when depositing your belongings and return it upon reclaiming them. Only one number will be given to a group; visitors in the same group should reclaim their belongings together. |
| 3. |
Wheelchairs and baby strollers are available and free of charge. |
| 4. |
Please reclaim your belongings on the same day before 5:00pm. Items which are not claimed within a month will be handed over to the police station in Shih-lin. |
Rules for Free School Group Trips Applicable to: To increase the enjoyment of school members for Chinese art and culture, allowing school members to enjoy while learning and cultivate personal knowledge. All students and instructors at government-registered public and private primary schools or above who wish to conduct learning outside of school at the Museum (including instructors pursuing education working).

Free visits to the exhibitions are available daily in hourly sessions from 9:00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m. The number of individuals for admission is limited to no more than 150 for each session. |

Audio Tour: School groups of 150 may apply for an audio tour by advance booking. Groups of more than 150 should arrange for two admission sessions. |
| 3. |
Selected artworks tour: School groups of 120 or less should first apply beforehand. |
| 4. |
Free visit to the Zhishan Garden: Open Tuesday to Sunday. Please present your approval notice from the Museum when entering the Garden. School graduation groups are welcome to coordinate a visit to the Zhishan Garden. |

Please note:

The Museum offers explanatory materials on art at its website for students, who are welcome to download them first before visiting. |

Free admission is available to at most 10 parents who are accompanying a tour to maintain order of the group. |

Please make your tour booking two weeks prior to the visit. Post-tour applications will not be accepted. |
| 4. |
During school group visits, teachers must accompany the group at all times to ensure the safety and order among students. |
