Adults Audio Guide:
With the small-sized and lightweight audio hand-held devices visitors can now enjoy personalized tours by choosing what they want to listen to during their visit in the galleries. The audio touring system provided by the NPM, available in Mandarin Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean, for the cost of NT$100 per rental. Visitors who wish to rent the audio players can inquire at the audio tour information desk.
Kids Audio Guide:
The Kids Audio Guide is designed for children of age 4-6. Narrated by Emperor Qianlong and a 10 year old boy, Art, the guide leads children on an adventure throughout the National Palace Museum. Available in Chinese and English, this guide is suitable for a family audience and can be borrowed from the Main Building First Floor Audio Guide Counter for NT$50.

Multimedia Audio Guide:
To provide visitors with a wider selection of audio touring systems, the Museum has added a multimedia audio touring service that is easily accessible to the public. This service is also available to people who are hearing-impaired.
A fee of NT$200 will be charged for the use of each of the multimedia touring equipment. Visitors will be asked to deposit a valid ID (such as an ID card, driver's license, health insurance card, or passport) or NT$3,000 in cash, which will be returned to the user upon the return of the touring equipment.

Free Guided Tours in Chinese and English, Free Tours for Parents & Children also Available
These tours are free of charge. Please sign up first at the Information Desk (each tour is limited to 30 people). The tour schedule is as follows:
Mandarin Chinese: Begins daily at 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Mandarin Chinese (for Special Exhibitions): Begins daily at 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
English: Begins daily at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Parent-child tours are available on weekends: Begins Saturday & Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Group Audio Tour System:
To improve the quality of their visit to the NPM and to maintain a quiet and comfortable atmosphere inside the galleries, the NPM has implemented a new group audio tour system as of July 1. All groups of ten or more purchasing group admission tickets to the NPM exhibition areas must also purchase and use the NPM group audio tour system. The group audio tour system is a cordless device. Tourist guides will be equipped with a master set and microphone while group members each have a receiver and earpiece, the connection and sound quality of these devices are extremely well-maintained. With the use of these devices tourist guides will be able to control the volume, effectively reducing noise and maintaining the museum's solemn environment.

Services for the Physically-Challenged:
Wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge at the checkroom on the first floor of the Main Building. Wheelchair-accessible restroom facilities can be found next to the East Wing elevator in the Main Building. The Museum also offers special group tours for disabled visitors. Please call +886-2-2881-2021 (x2683) and ask for Miss Chang in the Exhibition Services Department to schedule an appointment.
