In order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19), the new opening hours are as follows:
Open from Tuesday to Sunday between 09:00 and 17:00.
Close on Mondays. However, the museum will be open on Monday if it falls on a national holiday. National holidays that fall on a Monday in 2021 are 2/15, 3/1, 4/5, 6/14, 9/20, and 10/11.
Located between the 2nd to 4th floors of the Library Building. Open to the public daily from 9:00 to 17:00 except on Sundays and national holidays.
* The National Palace Museum Library will be closed to the public from Oct. 19, 2020 (Mon.) to Jan. 31, 2021.

* "Taipei Fun Pass | Unlimited Version"- Please purchase Taipei Fun Pass from the website (funpass.travel.taipei). * Purchase of entry ticket entitles visitor to visit all current exhibitions at Exhibition I (Main Building) on the day of purchase. * There are six free entrance days for this museum: New Year’s Day (Jan. 1), the Lantern Festival, International Museum Day (May 18), World Tourism Day (Sept. 27), National Day (Oct. 10) and Taiwan Culture Day(Oct. 17).
* The Taiwan Alliance of Museums Discount: By presenting the ticket stub or membership card of any one of the following museums (i.e., National Museum of Marine Science & Technology, National Taiwan Science Education Center, National Taiwan Museum, National Museum of History, National Museum of Natural Science, National Science and Technology Museum, and National Museum of Prehistory), visitors can purchase National Palace Museum Northern and/or Southern Branch tickets at a 20% discount. Please note that the ticket stub and membership card must be from the same year.
