National Palace Museum Announcement: Call for Visiting Scholar Applications — October 2026

The National Palace Museum (hereinafter referred to as “the Museum”) has established these Guidelines to strengthen academic exchange with universities and colleges, museums, and academic research institutions in Taiwan and abroad.

Scholars and doctoral students from universities and colleges in Taiwan and abroad, as well as researchers from museums or research institutions, whose research topics are relevant to the Museum’s collections and research areas may apply to become Visiting Scholars at the Museum.
Applicants shall submit the application form (see Attachment), a research proposal, a list of relevant publications, a letter of recommendation from the head of the applicant’s affiliated department, program, museum, or research institution, and other materials required by the Museum for review.
Application Deadline:
Applications will be accepted from the date of announcement through November 6, 2026 (Friday). Applicants shall submit the required application materials in electronic format by email to Npm107@npm.gov.tw.
Notification of Results:
Applicants will be notified of the review results by email by the end of December 2026. The actual notification schedule is subject to the Museum’s administrative procedures.
