Art has a soothing effect on minds. Throughout history, individuals whoare particular about taste and aesthetic experience will constantly pursuespiritual delights to elevate the mundane of daily life. People have longenjoyed flower arranging, incense burning, painting hanging, and teatasting. In fact, these activities can be traced back over a thousand years.This exhibition presents the four leisure activities in divided sections.Through the interplay among the artefacts, it aims to reflect people’sthoughts and practices on these activities around the 12th century. Inaddition, audience can experience a world infused with flowers, incense,paintings, and tea from ancient times in the recreated area in the gallery.
