Educational outreach

  • In connection with its permanent exhibitions, special exhibitions, and artifact-related themes, the NPM holds educational activities (e.g., lectures and artifact study workshops) for adult visitors to enable them to engage more closely with the NPM’s collection and learn new knowledge.

  • Lectures

Most NPM lectures are closely related to NPM’s ongoing exhibitions and are scheduled to coincide with the respective exhibitions. Curators are invited to share their curatorial concepts, latest research, and relevant perspectives, while providing opportunities for visitors to engage in dialogues and discussions with them. This long-running lecture series offers an excellent way for the public to stay informed about the NPM’s latest special exhibitions and helps visitors gain a deeper understanding of the NPM’s collection. For other lectures, the NPM invites curators, artists, scholars, and/or experts to present their new perspectives, research findings, and professional experiences related to specific artifacts or exhibitions.

  • Artifact Workshops

The NPM regularly organizes winter and summer artifact workshops, bringing together scholars, experts, and members of the public for multi-day programs focused on specific themes. These workshops offer diverse and comprehensive courses designed to promote the NPM’s cultural heritage, encourage broader art appreciation, and foster active participation in cultural and social life.
